Awarding participation at EWEA Offshore for NORCOWE

NORCOWE was well represented by several partner stands, three presentations and four posters – where CMR/GexCon won best poster in the category “Resource assessment”. The poster was entitled “A fast reduced order method for assessment of wind farm layouts” and competed against almost forty other contributions. The team behind the poster was Yngve Heggelund (CMR), Chad Jarvis (CMR) and Marwan Khalil (GexCon). As EWEA Offshore is regarded the world’s biggest Offshore Wind conference, this clearly is a great acknowledgement for their work.  Congratulations!

The NORCOWE stand was staffed by the Centre administration that were happy to tell about the activities going on in the Centre. Gladly the NORCOWE 2014 annual report was ready to be handed out.

NORCOWE and our partners; StormGeo, Aalborg Universitet, LEOSPHERE and FLiDAR had stands. Also our MoU partners; ECN, DTU Wind Energy, NREL and Fraunhofer IWES all had stands at EWEA Offshore.

The Norwegian Ambassador visited NORCOWE and the Norwegian pavilion at the EWEA Offshore exhibition. Here you can read the official article from the Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen (in Norwegian).
